Home / About us

Started by a nurse who wanted something better for older adults.

Our owner has cared for older adults in hospitals, nursing homes and their own homes, and opened Natomas Home Care to give them what was hardest to find in those places: time, continuity and a real home.

Our story

Why we opened a six-bed home.

As a nurse, our owner saw the same thing again and again. An older adult would come into the hospital after a fall or an infection, recover, and go back to a place where too few people knew them well. A few weeks later, they were back.

Often the cause wasn't a lack of medical care. It was small things nobody had time to notice: a meal skipped, a medication changed and not caught, a quiet day that was really the start of a urinary tract infection.

So we built a home small enough to notice. Six residents. A consistent team of caregivers we hire and train ourselves. A nurse owner who reviews every care plan and picks up the phone when families call. A kitchen that cooks real food, and a backyard where residents can sit in the sun.

It's not a facility that looks like a home. It is a home, on Da Vinci Way in North Natomas, that also happens to be run with clinical standards.

What we believe

Three promises we make to every family.

Dignity first

Personal care is given privately and patiently. Residents choose when they wake, what they wear and how they spend their day.

Clinical honesty

We tell you what we see, including when needs are changing. If we can't safely meet a need, we'll say so and help you plan.

Families as partners

You know your parent best. Call any time, visit often, and expect regular updates without having to ask.

The owner

Meet the nurse behind the home.

You'll meet the owner on your tour, not a sales team.
